Financial Reporting

The project goal was to consolidate data from financial software (Quorum ODA) to create a robust tool for viewing and exporting lease operating statements.

Key value-adding highlights from this project include:

  • Elimination of manual exports: The Power BI report is connected to the source and automatically pulls data 4x per day, ensuring data freshness.
  • Performance Reporting: The corporate budget and LOE forecasts were integrated to allow direct comparison of actuals with corporate model expectations.
  • Simplified Data Governance: Interactive drill-down functionality (down to the invoice level) simplifies finding miscodes and aids in accurate budget development.
  • Robust Design: Utilizing software features to define report formats, additional financial statements were built (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.).
  • Paginated, Formatted Exports: Using Power BI Report Builder, reports were formatted to be professional and consistent.

Well Operations Reporting

The project goal was to bring data from daily operations, accounting software, and spreadsheets into a single repository to provide organization-wide data visibility.

Key value-adding highlights from this project include:

  • Elimination of Time-Intensive Spreadsheets: Operators rely on the automated Power BI report, eliminating manual spreadsheet updates.
  • Cost-Transparency: Provides the ability to track actual job costs versus the AFE, enabling quicker, smarter operational adjustments.
  • Data QAQC: The report highlights data discrepancies, allowing for rapid issue resolution and improved data integrity.

Production Reporting

The project goal was to replace the software's front-end with a more user-friendly interface, customized to the specific needs of the users.

Key value-adding highlights from this project include:

  • Less Data-Mining: No digging through the front-end of the software. Everything needed is built directly into the report and can be set up to be emailed automatically.
  • Complete Customization of reports:
    • Set up a daily dashboard that gets distributed to the company each morning
    • Track production versus budget / forecasts / type curves
    • Time-zero comparisons
    • Set up automated reports for partners
    • Load multiple development plans for easy comparison
    • Create pages intended for simple exports to excel for further analysis and distribution
